Well, it’s a new year; it’s time to get back on the ball and start looking at another wonderful comic shop in the Houston area, Heroes Comics, Cards and Collectibles. Just as the name says Heroes truly is a collectibles store. They have a vast variety of Comics, Beanie Babies, Magic and sports collectibles. Aside from all their wonderful merchandise, Heroes has an excellent, smiling staff.

In terms of comic books Heros has a wide selection of new comics, mainstream comics, and small print comics. They have an extensive selection of back issues of all genres of comics. Heroes also has numerous boxes of ten cent comics. "TEN CENT COMICS?!?!?!" you might ask. No, no these are good comics, not the sucky type you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole, but honestly cool comics.

Heroes has the most extensive Beanie Baby collection that I’ve ever seen. They even have a spoof- Meanies. But their retired beanie selection is unbeatable. They have Garcia, Seamore, Lucky, Princeaa, Valentino, Tobasco, Erin, Peace, Curly, etc. All at horribly reasonable prices.
Heroes card selection is broad and overwhelming. They have multiple Magic decks-- including the new Urza deck. They also have Homelands, Ice Age, Exodus, Tempest, Mirage, Alliances and Portal. Aside from Magic they also have Star Trek, Star Wars and Pokémon collectible card games. They also have collectable cards of the X-men, X-files Battletanks, Counterstrike, etc.

As for sports memorabilia, Heroes has on impressive array. They have baseball cards, NBA cards, WNBA cards, football cards. The have mounted pictures of Pete Rose and Mickey Mantle. They have signing baseballs, footballs, and basketballs. They even have a baseball signed by Joe Morgan.
Heroes is a great collectibles store. They are definitely worth checking out. They have something to satisfy everyone and they will help you find exactly what you’re looking for.
