These two issues sent the world of Emma Sonnet, the
10th Muse: Muse of Justice, reeling on its ear. In
these two issues Emma confronts Grayson Bishop, who
turns out to be the Muse’s brother. Grayson is
another one of Zeus’ illegitimate offspring;
unfortunately for Grayson he was not able to escape
the wrath and vengeance of Hera.
Grayson, like Sauron, only needs one thing to bring
about the end of the world. No it’s not the ruling
ring of power you silly-billy; it’s the Tenth Muse’s
soul. In order to De-Medusa her friend’s, Emma must
decide to marry Grayson. Unlike your typical forced
bad guy wedding, this one really isn’t a ceremony.
Grayson just steals her soul and orders his female
lover/henchwoman to kill Emma. Morgan, said
henchwoman, is actually a very nice person, and cannot
bring herself to kill Emma.
Emma has now been split from the Muse. She’s a normal
everyday person, and she’s not happy. She feels that
she must somehow help the soul of the Muse stop
Grayson from destroying Olympus and earth. Morgan,
who for a long time has been abused and controlled by
Grayson finally has enough of his evil junk, and jumps
in the way to avoid Grayson assimilating the Muse’s
soul. In doing this she inherits the Muse’s soul.
This leaves us in quite a quandary what is to happen
next? I wish I knew the answer. This is actually a
very well written series. The art is very nice. Guys
look a little ugly, but the women generally look very
pretty. You should definitely go check this book out.
I have no clue where it goes from here, but in my book
that’s a good thing. Go check out the Tide Wave

Atlas 2 & 3
(mini comic at the end of both)
Writer: Marv Wolfman
Pencils: Mark Brooks
Inks: Clayton Brown
Atlas is very very funny. It’s a mini-comic about the
Greek god Atlas who has some to earth to become a
superhero. He is very much without a clue. Atlas has
to wrestle with such problems as how to become a
superhero, having to get a secret identity so he can
move in peace, and having a head quarters. Atlas is a
GREAT added bonus. If it were to become a full time
comic I would buy it. It’s a great perk that comes
with buying Tenth Muse 7,8, and 9. I highly recommend
it.
