Come on! You folks have them, too. Sites that you like to visit and
spend time with. Waaaay too much time, in fact. Here is our list,
which will keep you busy for awhile. Enjoy!
Sheryl Roberts:
www.villainsupply.com
Why do I like this site? It has everything one needs to be
eeeeviiiiiiilllll. And I’m the evil editor, right? Right!
Stephane Morrel:
www.imdb.com
. . . This is the most amazing movie resource EVER
and I could spend days and days on it. If you like
movies/TV check it out, it's really worth it.
Joe Singleton:
www.stickdeath.com
Why do I love StickDeath.com? Well,
it's simple.......I love brutal, graphic violence
when done to stick figures. Stick figures have
never contributed to society, in any meaningful
way, all they did was take and take and
take....but then came StickDeath.com and stick
figures can now contribute to the society that has
supported them for so long! Whether it's the
brutality of the KillBox, the efficient dispatch
of would-be car thieves, or the violent heroics of
Jack Stick, there's something for everyone.
Jamie Coville:
http://javascript.internet.com/games/battleship.html
It's a free Javascript site, this particular one
with a Battleship game. I just play it over and
over again. I feel like a geekier version than
those basement dwelling guys in that commercial
because I'm playing it by myself on a computer.
Chris Reid:
www.archive.org
-- The Go-back machine, lets you bring up webpages from a long time ago.
www.engrish.com
-- A page of really hilarious mis-translations to
English.
www.badmovies.org
-- A review site for really horrible movies
Mat Bredfeldt:
http://boards.wizards.com/rpg-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?category=6
It's about the only D&D site out there that's any good. It's just a good
place to kill time. I got an idea for a character from there.
Brett Schmidt:
http://homestarrunner.com
simple fun
Jason Bourgeois:
http://members.aol.com/KinetixLSH/figures/figures.html
Cause he’s a perv.
http://www.flamingtelepaths.net/radiant/
My current fave site of my own is for Solus, Perez's upcoming book from
CrossGen.
http://www.thedigitalbits.com/
I absolutely love the Digital Bits. Fast, up to date, DVD news.
http://www.fark.com/
It's a link-collection. Folks post links to...damn near everything, the
moderators go through that and let the ones they deem worthy through,
throughout the day.
Wally Flores, Jr.:
Cinescape.com
for info
wickedcoolstuff.com &
80stees.com
for shirts
Paul Roberts:
TheOneRing.net
Cause it’s got a lot of information about Tolkien stuff. And someone over
at New Line sends them pictures every now and then. Plus, you get all sorts
of juicy rumors about what’s coming next, what Peter Jackson is up to
now, what The Return of the King trailer will look like . . . maybe half of the
stuff is true, but it’s fun.
Rick Higginson:
There are a few places I like to spend some time when on line.
www.jokeaday.com
Jokes and some trivia, but not for the overly
sensitive. Sooner or later, everyone gets a turn under the "gun" so to
speak, so if you offend easily, don’t bother. Not for the under 18 crowd.
www.snopes.com
Urban legends, internet stories, and so on
checked out and either confirmed or refuted. A great resource when you
receive those dire e-mail warnings or heart breaking pleas, and often just
entertaining reading.
www.badmovies.org
Hilarious and entertaining reviews of movies
that only wish they were as entertaining as these reviews are. Hard to
believe that some of these movies were really made!
www.ebay.com
You don’t have to be buying or selling to find
some entertainment in perusing the offerings on eBay. If it’s available at
all, it’s most likely available on eBay, making it like the ultimate Sears
Catalog.
www.beer-college.com
I don’t drink, nor am I in college, but this
site has some funny games, clips, and pictures to peruse. If you haven’t
seen the MTV version of the "Council of Elrond" from "Fellowship of the
Ring," it’s on this site for all to see.
Sidra:
www.livejournal.com
Ever wonder where the Very Secret
Diaries were first published in was on a journal
here. Find a Random journal start reading let
the fun begin. You never know what you
might find.
www.popcap.com
Web games for fun and amusement
www.bored.com
Tons of stuff to keep you entertained
mindlessly for hours.
http://www.empireonline.co.uk/
Best movie magazine EVER!
AJ’s favorite time-wasting links!
www.badmovies.org
I have wasted countless hours reading the reviews on
this site, with nothing to show for it but a good bit of amusement and some
odd movie trivia. It mainly focuses on bad horror, but some action movies
and even Xanadu show up on the list. Though there is no nudity on this
page, some of the movies are of an adult nature (Barn of the Blood Llamas,
for example... ugh), and there are many violent pictures and film clips...
parental discretion is advised. Those mature enough for the site will enjoy
the well-written reviews, fun audio files, and great rating system!
www.snopes.com
Though Snopes is a great reference site for checking out
all those "It’s true, really!" e-mails and stories from your friends, it’s also
a great place to waste time. Read the Humor and Horror sections if you
doubt me!
http://home.nycap.rr.com/useless/index.html
"Useless Information: Stuff
you never needed to know but your life would be incomplete without".
That just about sums it up! This great site has lots of fun, well-written
trivia. Its only flaw is that it’s almost never updated... But there’s enough
backlog for a night or two of reading fun!
http://www.aurete.com/cabeem/
Cabeem! Addictive little java game. ‘Nuff said.
